DogSeasons privacy policy

Who this policy applies to

DogSeasons is developed by Kieran Slater. This policy explains how the app handles information when you use it on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

What information the app may handle

The app may handle information that you choose to add, including dog profiles, breeding records, season dates, progesterone test results, mating records, litter records, pup weights, medications, reminders, notes, photos and enquiry contact details.

How your records are stored

Your records are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync for the app, your records may also sync using Apple services, including your private iCloud account and CloudKit. The developer does not operate a separate customer account system or store your breeding records on their own servers.

Photos, exports and files

If you add photos or generate files such as PDF or CSV exports, those items are stored on your device and may also sync through your own Apple account where iCloud is enabled for the app.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app may create local reminders on your device for dates, treatments or other records you set up. These reminders are generated on-device.

Anonymous analytics and diagnostics

The app uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-friendly anonymous analytics and diagnostics. This may include events such as app installs, app launches, app version, operating system version, device class, crash-related diagnostics and general app reliability information. This information is used to understand stability and improve the app. It is not intended to directly identify you.

Subscriptions and purchases

If you buy a subscription or other in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment. The developer does not receive your full payment card details.

Support contact

If you contact support by email, the developer will receive the information you choose to include in that message, such as your email address and details about the issue you are reporting.

How information is used

• To provide the features of the app
• To save and sync your records across your own Apple devices where enabled
• To improve app stability, diagnose crashes and fix technical issues
• To reply if you contact support directly

Sharing

Your breeding records are not sold. The developer does not share your personal breeding records for advertising purposes. Information may be handled by service providers only where needed to provide core platform features you use, such as Apple for storage and sync, and TelemetryDeck for anonymous analytics and diagnostics.

Your choices

You can control permissions such as notifications, photos and iCloud in your Apple device settings. You can also remove content from the app and stop using the app at any time. If you use iCloud, synced data may remain in your Apple account until you remove it from there.

Data retention

Records you add remain in the app and any enabled Apple sync services until you delete them, remove the app, or remove synced data from your Apple account where applicable. Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the issue you contacted about.

Children

The app is not intended for children to use independently.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
